Solar Radiant In-Floor Heating

Radiant In-Floor Heating can easily be tied into a solar heating system and is generally installed in addition to solar domestic hot water. Additional solar collectors and a larger storage tank are required to produce enough energy to provide heat.

The radiant floor is a key partner in the solar heating system. The cooler the radiant floor operates, the higher the solar contribution.

In some homes, radiant baseboard heaters have been installed that are too small to work with solar systems. But a change from baseboard to 'radiant panels' will allow a home to add solar heat.
